The real work now begins, but as usual I’m confident all returns will be filed by 31 January – forget 31 October that’s for those who are happy to allow HMRC to calculate their tax liability – talk about giving a dog a bone!
All TWD staff are really up for it and the palpable sense of excitement is very much apparent. The challenge is there, in 13 years we’ve never failed to meet our deadlines in spite of the annual increase in clients. Next March we’ll start getting calls from those who did it themselves to sort out the maze of calculations and reams of paper produced by HMRC, not to mention several different figures sent in rapid succession of their supposed “tax liability”.
