The Autumn Statement 2011
Opposition politicians and public bodies have given mixed reactions to Chancellor George Osborne's 2011 Autumn Statement. Statement includes:
- Introduction of further credit easing: Up to £20bn is being made available to small and medium-sized businesses through the National Loan Guarantee Scheme.
- The business rate relief 'holiday' for small firms will be extended to April 2013.
- One year freeze on Capital Gains Tax.
